GAMMA Team
Scientists, engineers, and advisors building the next generation of high-energy astrophysics
Science Team
The Science Team defines the why: studying the physics and theoretical expectations that drive the mission.
Joan Alcaide-Núñez
Multi-messenger cosmology; GRB–GW synergies; Theoretical cosmology.
Wanted: ML Lead
ML classification pipelines; automated GRB alert systems; real-time data analysis.
Technical Partners
GAMMA is a Science Team. We define the physics and commission the engineering. We are actively seeking a Technical Lead and engineering partner teams to design and build the COSMOS-Duo bus and payload.
Wanted: Technical Lead
Responsible for the development of the CubeSat architecture and the integration of all systems. Ideal background: aerospace engineering with CubeSat or satellite experience.
Apply / PartnerWanted: Instrument Engineer
Detector selection (NaI, CsI, SiPM), PCB design, detector characterisation. Works with the Science PI to translate requirements into hardware.
ApplyWanted: Software Engineer
On-board data processing, ground station software, telemetry pipelines, and simulation environments.
ApplyEngineering Partnership
Are you part of a student satellite group (TUM WARR, MOVE, ESAC, or similar) with hardware capability but no science payload? We want to talk. GAMMA provides the science case and mission requirements; you provide the satellite bus and engineering team. Contact us →
Senior Advisors
The Advisory Board (target: 3–5 professors and senior experts) provides scientific mentorship, institutional links, and proposal review. Currently being formalised — we are actively seeking advisors.
Wanted: Science Advisor
Advise on science case, GRB modeling, and instrument requirements. Occasional review of student work.
Get in TouchWanted: Mission Advisor
Advise on mission architecture, ESA FYS! application strategy, and systems engineering.
