While entering the new year with excitement for what CAPIBARA will accomplish this year, we are also looking forward to welcoming more students to collaborate and work on our projects. This is a volunteer opportunity open to students at all education levels and in the fields of not only mathematics, physical sciences and engineering, but also art, communication, education and legal. We advocate for a diverse team and encourage you to apply regardless of your background be it academically or personally.
The CAPIBARA-COSMOS programme is currently actively seeking students to join it's engineering team. Check out the programme here. Anyways, the COSMOS programme is also accepting new membesr in all the fields.
Requirements
We have tried to maintain our requirements at a mininum and are not interested in performing a selection process in which applicants are evaluated in any form. Everybody that want to collaborate may join if they fulfill some basic requirements that ensure we can work together properly, for instance, good english communication.
Recommended, but not required at all: strong academic record, experience in a specific field, GitHub/coding knowledge (e.g., Python).
One of the goals of the CAPIBARA Collaboration is that you learn by conducting a real-world project, so naturally you will learn a lot from joining and you should not worry if you don't have any or some of the aforementioned skills.
Steps to Apply
As stated before, there is no selection process, if you are interested to join CAPIBARA you are invited to. We call the "application" the process in which you get in touch with us sharing your interest in joining the collaboration and we receive the necessary information to make you a member. These are the steps you should follow:
Contact us here expressing your interest. Fill out the form and provide the requested information. You can inform yourself about the different teams and projects in our website. It is good practice to provide some background or motivation statement in your message. You can find a link to the official application guideline in the application form page.
There is no fixed deadline and we are constantly accepting new members. It may be possible that a specific role or position is already covered. In that case, don't hesitate to contact us and explain your situation.
